Nestroy Kizito SCVU

Former SC Villa and Uganda Cranes left fullback Nestroy Kizito has signed a one year deal at newly promoted super league club SC Victoria University Thursday though monetary details of the deal were undisclosed.  The university side announced the signing of the 30 year old former Partizan Belgrade ace this Thursday morning after he passed a medical a test at the Victoria University Health Centre.

Speaking on the move on the club’s official website, Kizito was delighted to be back home and be part of a club that has shown a different level of professionalism so far in the league. “For me it’s a great move. And to come back home since I left in 2003, feels good,” Kizito said. “I know I have enough experience but my joining SCVU is more about motivating the younger players and being part of a team that has shown a different kind of professionalism.”

Club chairman Simon Dubajic was equally delighted after sealing the deal. “This is another very positive step by the club. Kizito is a big player in Uganda. He has played in the UEFA champions’ league and to have such a player in your club; be sure what SCVU is going to do in the league,” he stated.  Victoria University manager Ivan Zoric told Kawowo sports that the signing of Kizito will be great after letting Allan Katerega join Kenyan giants Tusker FC at the beginning of this primary transfer window.

“He is a great player and we expect him to fill the void left by Allan Katerega who crossed to Tusker FC. Let’s talk less though and wait for action to begin”, he said.
Kizito becomes the latest player to arrive at the club after Ibrahim Saddam Juma, Manko Kawesa, Ali Kimera, Martin Mpuuga, George Abege and Charles Tibingana.
