Newly promoted super division side Kiira Young has signed midfielder Patrick Ssenfuka from SC Villa for Shs 2m.
The former KCC FC, URA FC and Maji player penned a one year deal at his new club that will see him serve them till the end of 2012/13 season. This puts end to speculations about his future after SC Villa earlier announced that he was not part of it’s plans for the upcoming
season.
“We have sold him to Kiira Young for Shs 2m. He wasn’t in Coach Mike’s plans for next season and therefore had no option to let him go at whatever price”, SC Villa director of football Joseph Kanaba told Kawowo sports.
It should be noted that the midfielder joined the Villa Park side at the start of last season but missed most of the second half of the season due to injuries. Ssenfuka will be most remembered at SC Villa for causing a dressing room unrest after his salaries were allegedly cut for failure to obey club principles.
This led to a fall out with coach Mike Mutebi who promised not to retain the midfielder in his squad.
Ssenfuka joins Israel Emuge as the confirmed two new signings by the club with club also linked to SC Villa striker Ronald Musana who is up for sale and Uganda Cranes winger Joseph Kabagambe who is a free agent after his contract with Sudanese Al Neel club ended.
