It was joy for Fort Portal’s team one who beat 14 teams to claimed the second edition of the Dasani Golf Series on Saturday at the par 72 Kitante golf course at the Uganda Golf Club.
The youthful team returned with a total score of 148 stableford points Sarapio Mugenyi 35 points,Collins
Accelam with 38 points Richard Baguma 40 points and Joseph Cwinyai with 35 points respectively.
The team from Western Uganda will now travel to Pattaya,Thailand for a fully paid golf trip by the sponsors Dasani.
They become the second team to claim this prestigious team golf tournament Jinja’s team 4 was runner-up with 131 points it was made up of Eddy Kasaija with 31 points,Sanjay Patel 36 points,Brian Nkono 34 points and Phillip Kasango 30.
Abbey Bagalana was winner group A in the subsidiary with 39 points while Frank Mugambagye with 37 points claimed group B.
Alex Villeger claimed group C with 39 points.
Peace Muyege and Wei Tie claimed the ladies group A and B with 37 and 48 points. Deo Akope beat 20 professionals to claim the professionals section with 141 gross.
