Golfers in the country are eyeing majors honours during this hectic period that will see three major tournaments being played for starting with the end of the month the Castle Lite sponsored Inter-Region golf tournament that will be held from August 31-September 1 at Entebbe Golf Club.
The first real practice for players playing for their respective regions will start this weekend when they can vie for honours in the MTN monthly
mug of August ahead of the much anticipated Inter-Region that will for the first time be hosted outside Kampala.
Eastern Region will be looking to win back to back titles and their second title for the first time.
The most prestigious event on the local golfing calendar The Uganda Open will then preceed from September 6-9. Last year’s winner was Rogers Byaruhanga who will be a eyeing a double in this year’s event.
In October the Uganda Ladies Golf Union will organise the Uganda Ladies Open from October 12-14 at the Uganda Golf Club,Kitante.
