Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) laid their mark as they unveiled 11 new signings ahead of their first season in topflight football, the Uganda Super League due September 14.

At the press briefing held at Sheraton Hotel on Wednesday morning, the newly promoted side took a bigger step as they, along with Victoria University Health Centre sealed a Shs10m partnership with sports journalist’s body Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA).

“The partnership is to seek support from the media fraternity in their effort to promote sports in Uganda,” read a statement in the press release issued out.

“This shows SCVU is a class apart and we are taking gigantic steps in developing sport countrywide,” SCVU media officer Leon Senyange told Kawowo Sports.

By far, the club is the only one that plans to have a nutrionist/ fitness coach whom it is set to announce in a few weeks but a team doctor Dr. John Fomum Sentamu is already on board for work.

Way to go SCVU! There is only hope that other clubs do borrow a leaf and have better organised team structures.
