MTN Heathens 7s Champs

Main Cup result
Heathens 36-5 Rhino
National 7s title holders MTN Heathens came out strong to defeat Rhinos in the main cup final of the second 7s circuit at Makerere ground on Saturday.

Tries from Michael Wokorach (2), Scott Oluoch, Ronnie Musoke, Evans Kingasia, and Romano Ogwal ensured their bid for a fifth consecutive crown were clearly laid at the tournament dubbed the Katongole Kisembo sevens memorial.

Heathens had earlier eliminated nemesis side DMark Kobs 12-5 with tries from Scott Oluoch and Jonathan Onen Bishop. Edmond Tumusiime’s effort counted Kobs’ points.

Heathens and Kobs are joint top of the standings with 40 points and the latter, who won the first circuit in Entebbe last weekend hosts the third this weekend.
James Musiitwa scored the only points for Rhino in the one sided final.

The second leg was played in honour of Kisembo and named the Katongole Memorial 7s. The Makerere Impis player died of cancer last December.
The back is eulogized by his teammates for the time he played for them between 2007 and 2011.

“He gave his time and money to this team,” Lewis Lwanga, the Impis president, told Kawowo Sports
