Uganda’s top squash player Michael Kawooya is off to take part in the Prince Grand Prix Squash Championship in Johannesburg,South Africa, that starts on August 31-September 2.
Kawooya will be going to train and play in his first major tournament this year.
The top seed recently together with his club mate Ian Kajubu missed out in participating in the Saint Lucia squash tournament recently and now has landed the opportunity of representing the nation in this tournament.
His trip has been given full support by the Uganda Squash Rackets Association, the game’s governing body which recently elected a new executive into power. Kampala Club Limited,Bank of Uganda, Nile Breweries, Mogas Castrol Oil and Prime General Supplies have offered sponsorship for him to travel to South Africa.
