Ahead of the upcoming 2012/13 soccer season, new Bidco FC Head Coach Kefa Kisala has already made a top five finish as the target for the club.
“Our target this season is to finish in the top five in the league”, Kisala told Kawowo Sports on Wednesday. “I have already made it clear to my players and am confident i have the right quality of players to achieve this”, he added.
Asked who are some of the key players he expects to lift the team, the soft spoken former Express FC and Uganda Cranes
left winger almost mentioned the whole team insisting that football is played as a team though he couldn’t hesistate to name three to four.
“Football is a team sport and i have confidence in all my players. Dan Ssebuliba (from Masaka LC) is a quality defender, then Martin Kivumbi (from Masaka LC), Jackson Kibirige (Police FC) and Okello (Kisugu FC) are all good players”, he stated.
Kisala also went on to quash claims that his new signings Hashim Ssempala and Dan Ssebuliba still belong to Express FC and Masaka LC FC as these clubs allege. “As i speak now, the duo belongs to Bidco FC but maybe those clubs want to have them too something i doubt since it can’t happen now”, Kisala said with a smile.
Kisala joined Bidco FC at the end of last season after guiding Masaka LC to a decent place in the league and also the semi-finals of the Bell Uganda Cup which they lost to eventual winners URA FC.
