Kiira Young Head Coach George Ssemwogerere is looking at acquiring six new players to strengthen his side ahead of the highly anticipated upcoming 2012/13 super league season.
“We need atleast six new players to boost our side ahead of the new season”, said Ssemwogerere. The former Masaka LC and Express FC Coach however confirmed to Kawowo Sports that the club has so far captured the signatures of defender Israel Emuge from KCC FC, former SC Villa and Atraco FC winger Joseph Kabagambe who is a free agent after his contract with Sudanese side Al Neel and Patrick Ssenfuka from giants SC Villa.
“Emuge, Ssenfuka and Kabagambe have already penned deals at the club and we hope by the end of this week, we expect all intended deals to be finalised”, he said.
“We are negotiating with SC Villa over the transfer of striker Ronald Musana but we’re also considering trialists who have impressed in training”, he added. Musana spent the second half of last season on loan at Water FC after failing to command a starting berth at the Villa Park side.
Meanwhile, Kiira Young will play SC Villa in a pre season friendly game Wednesday at Kisubi Seminary Ground.
