
Pre-tournament favorite and plus one player Philip Kasozi maintain his focus to move top of the leader board at the 70th edition of the Tusker Malt Uganda Open Amateur Golf Championship on day two at the par 72 Kitante golf course today.
Kasozi shot a score of 3 under par 141 gross to take a slender
one stroke lead over his nearest challenger Willy Deus Kitata, who shot 5 under par 142 gross going into a crucial day three of action on the running course that has been splendid for the first two days.
National golfer and Toro club’s Adolf Muhumuza returned with with a similar gross score of 142 together with his club-mate Happy Robert in a tightly contested day which will be nerve cracking going into the decisive.
According to the Uganda Golf Union the conditions of play will be us follows in case of a tie after 72 holes,there will be a three hole play off on holes 12, 17 and 18 and if there is still no winner,then a sudden death play off on hole number 18 until there is a winner.
