More drama is still unfolding in the kickboxing fraternity after it has emerged that National kicking boxing champion Titus Tugume has not yet been paid in full for the monies arising from his fight in defense of his National title against Malik Kaliisa on the 13th July 2012.
Sylvia Awori Promotions sponsored the fight that was also sanctioned by the National Kickboxing Federation and it was agreed that Tugume be paid up to 12million shillings.
According to Titus Tugume himself, in the deal agreed with Awori promotions and in the presence of his lawyer they were meant to get full payment before he entered the ring. To his surprise, Tugume found out that Sylvia had just only 2 millions available and promised to complete the payment before the 17th July 2012. Now Kawowo sports understand that since then Sylvia Awori has been speculated to be out of the country. Both Tugume and his management have tried to reach her but all in vain and it is suggested her contacts have been available. Now word from Tugume’s camp affirms that Awori is in the country but has failed to answer her calls, and not even communicated officially. With over two months gone, it is rumoured Tugume has now run out patience and may be pushing issues to the courts of law.
