Sematimba's Warriors dream EA Cup final

EAST AFRICA CUP
Warriors vs. Kanbis Tigers – Nairobi (Live on SS9East)

MULTIPLE INDUSTRIES CRICKET LEAGUE
Division II (50-OVERS)
Tornado B vs. Tamil Lions – Lugogo
Warriors vs. SVPC – Kyambogo
SKLPS B vs. Makerere – Budo Oval (T20)

They finished top in the East Africa Premier League T20’s and the Warriors will also hope to secure a 50-over final appearance when they play Kanbis Tigers in a play off tomorrow at the Nairobi Gymkhana oval.

Lawrence Sematimba and company will depend on Roger Mukasa who has so far scored 125 runs in six innings with a highest score 41. But they will have to be wary and lock out Tigers’ Akep Patel who has 127 runs in total.

Warriors’ vice captain can top the bowlers’ chart if he adds four wickets to his 13. Collective effort through other bowlers Mukasa (10wickets) and Henry Senyondo (8) tear down Tigers’ batting scripts.

Elsewhere in the Division II frays of the Multiple Industries’ League, there are three clashes on card. Tornado, who topped the twenty20 charts with 85 points, plays Tamil Lions in their first 50-over play-off at Lugogo. Warriors (67), who finished second, entertain SVPC at the University Oval in Kyambogo.

But the most fancied will be the decider between SKLPS B and Makerere University. The former, sixth on the table with 51 points, can dislodge Mwiri (59) from the fifth play-off position if they win their last two T20 games against the University side at the Budo grounds.
