
Top squash player Michael Kawooya has landed his third invitation of the year to take part in the prestigious Cup of Petersburg 2012 Squash tournament in Russia from November 23-25.
It will be the Kampala based player’s second tournament that he will be trying to participate in a space of two months after taking part recently
in the Prince Grand Prix squash tournament in Johannesburg,South Africa.
“I am seeking sponsorship to participate in this tournament and I need to start looking for the funds now,” Kawooya said. “It would be nice for me too to participate in this tournament and hopefully I will.”
Sports Center organisers of the tournament are expecting players from more than 20 countries all over the world.
All foreign players in this tournament have been booked at the Sokos Hotel Olympia Garden. Kawooya is using the tournament to prepare for the Commonwealth Games in 2014 in Glasgow,Scotland.
