All-rounder Roger Mukasa (pictured) was at his pinnacle as his side Ugandan franchise Warriors made it to the East Africa Cup final on Sunday.  

Mukasa turned out to be the highlight of the game as he scored a century in the second innings to steer the Lawrence Sematimba-led side to a four-wicket victory

over Kenyans Kanbis Tigers at Nairobi Gymkhana oval, a game that was live on Supersport 9 East.  

The home side won the toss, opted to bat and were all out for 248 runs. Ramesh Mepani finished with a half-ton of 79 while Vinod Rabadia and Dhiren Gondaria stroked 39 and 26 respectively.  

Warriors’ coach player Steven Tikolo returned with scalps of 4/50 while Brian Masaba picked figures of 3/49.

In addition to Mukasa stellar performance, Tikolo scored another 62 runs and Sematimba added an unbeaten 25 runs despite Niraj Patel (2/33) and Lucas Oluoch (2/54) stringent bowling.   Man of Match: Steve Tikolo
