With 1769 minute of league football, averaging 77 mutinies in 23 appearances and 2 league goals, Cranes coach Bobby Williamson thinks Martin Kayongo Mutumba is not good enough for national duty.

The Swedish based midfielder with AIK failed to make Bobby’s final squad that start residential training on October 3 at Namboole stadium.

Champions last month in Ndola, the Scot has promised to consider Mutumba since was recovering his form in Sweden and on the continent.

“I said he would be considered as every other player was considered, end of story I never said he would be selected,” Bobby told journalist on Wednesday. “So don’t try to put words in my mouth, but I rather talk about players who are in the squad, if you want to talk about those who are absent I don’t have time for that.”

Mutumba has only featured for the national on two occasion (Both World cup qualifiers) Angola away from home and Senegal in Kampala. He also made the bench in the 3-1 defeat to Congo Brazzaville in Brazzaville in the first 2013 Afcon qualifying round.

“We have to concentrate on what we have here and those are the 26players and I hope they can deliver as I expect them to,” Bobby added.
