It has been two weeks of no action in the PAU pool calendar and this weekend the league is back with a lot of action in different venues Pool Clubs.
In the senior pool league, table leaders Skin Samona take on Q Pool Academy at home while bottom side Indigo takes on Kupa Pool Club. Indigo players and fans should get ready for the Kasenyi Boys who have been financially energized by their former Director, Robinah
Nantumbwe, an international businessperson.
“Am ready to improve these boys’ talents and am going to hire an instructor to give them more skills,” said Nantumbwe, who has just returned from England on a business trip. “We have been facing lots of challenges mainly facilitation like transport and player allowances which led us to lose games unnecessarily.
“With the return of our chief financier, that loosing spree is over and our opponents should watch out.” Kupa that suffered from management wrangles late in the first round will face tough competition.
All teams in the three divisions (Senior Pool League, Pool League one and Ladies Pool League) will up their games in a bid to survive relegation, be promoted and secure better positions that will earn them more money at the end of the season.
A motivation following the deal in which EABL’s Pilsner Lager sunk UGX 200 Million in the National Pool League for two years last month. Matovu Sula of Skin Samona is on form after winning Kampala Open Pool Championship on 29 Sept 2012 and he is confident to earn his team a win over Q Pool Academy.
Isabella and Perfection will also be a game to watch expecting to see the Senior Pool League top scorer and Easter Cup 2012 Champion Yvez Kaneza adding onto his Goal collection.
Simon Lubuulwa’s Rockcatalina will have a tough Saturday when they face defending champions Volts Pool Club at home. In the men’s division 2, Pool League One, table leaders Casablanca take on Sports Club at Jinja. The National Open 2012 Champion, Gumikiriza Alfred, says there is no time for error when his side Game City takes on Mumu this Sunday 14th October 2012.
