
The 4th Uganda National Woodball Open Championship held over the weekend at MUBS had a great turn up and a total of 12 teams competed under the open and youth categories.
Ndejje Woodball Club won the 4th Edition of the Uganda National Woodall Open Championship which was held in MUBS over the weekend. Perfection of play inside the gate area so experienced Zawedde Lillian and Katagadho Joshua were victors over the
ladies and men’s accolades respectively.
And in the men’s doubles which were won by Denis Mitali and Rogers Kayima, women’s doubles taken by Elizabeth Mugumya and Jacky Babirye.
In the mixed doubles Israel Muwaguzi and Gladys Nabulya from Ndejje Woodball Club registered 71 strokes less than that of contingent Elly Muhereza and Ritah Nagadya from SCJ woodball Club who registered 72 strokes.
A growing sport that has a great future with in the country as the fourth Edition registered a number of youths participating;and Paddy Ssentongo from Kings College Buddo was on the mark as he registered 70 strokes as he walked away with the boys accolades.
In the girls series Zubairi Shakirah from Greenacres Junior Academy showed her prowess by using 83strokes to complete 12 gates during the championship as she dominated the girls category beating Yudah Nangoma from Kings College Buddo who had 85 strokes and Atem Nyandeng with 89 strokes from Greenacres Junior Academy.
