Serie B: Cubs vs Mulago – 5pm
Women: KAVC vs Ndejje – 7pm
Men: NUVC vs Nemo Stars – 9pm
NUVC v Nemo Stars
Nemo qualified for the finals for the first time after going past Sport-S while Nkumba are the defending champions. Nemo thrive on teamwork but also individually, Anthony Ndawula’s men love challenging themselves to deliver success once they are on court.
Setter Smith Okum has been carrying the mantle of the team throughout the season, his deputy Patrick Luganda was inconsistent. Tom Amou has been outstanding with his reception.
Nemo’s jump service is another Nkumba will have to deal with carefully if they are to repeat last years’ feat. Nkumba can attack from all sorts of area, something you can’t say about Nemo for their struggles to attack from the middle, the latter rank last in the league when it comes to attacking in the middle.
KAVC vs Ndejje
KAVC boast of wealth of experience in players like Alice Gitta, Florence Nanyondo, Josephine Namanda, and Sheila Omuriwe. KAVC have been in the finals a number of times.
Their backcourt players (Gitta, Namanda and Omuriwe) are the reason the 2008 champions cannot be easily intimidated by any attack. Ndejje’s Jessica Kayido has this season been the diffidence between Ndejje and other team
The regular season log leaders will need their attackers to come of age if they are to compliment Kayindo’s brilliancy.
Cubs vs Mulago
Mulago posses maturity, spot on attacks from the middle and the block, but their biggest undoing is the small bench. Cubs will thrive on the good training they get from their senior side KAVC but also the urge and enthusiasm to get results.
The ultimate price for the two sides is guaranteed qualification to the Serie A, which will not demand exciting volleyball. May be Mulago has more to play for than promotion to the top after they were promised cash prices from their administration if they can finish top of Serie B.
