2011 Uganda Handball League champions Prisons started on a strong note beating Nairobi Youth Handball Club from Kenya 42 – 28 in the ongoing East and Central Handball Club championships that started on Sunday in Nairobi.

The start of the game was rather poor for the Ugandan side that looked so fatigued compared to their opponents as they only arrived in Nairobi last night.

The rhythm, however, came up in the second half of the game when they stretched the game to a 14-point difference by the end of the game. Ojok Gilbert top scored for Prisons with a game high, 19 goals.

Uganda Prisons will again be in action on Tuesday while the other Uganda representative in the women category, Nkumba University starts their campaign the same day.
