Former Super League side, Mbale Heroes F.C regained their leadership slot in the Elgon group FUFA Big league with a one nil away victory over Kasese Youth at Nyakasanga Stadium. The victory propelled the Eastern Uganda based side to the Elgon group log summit on 10 points off 4 encounters, a point better than second placed CRO.
In the other Elgon group fixture played, Kumi based Ngora Freda Carr were two nil victors over Hoima Busia to go fifth on 6 points while Baza Holdings held high riding Bight Stars to a goalless draw in a thrilling game played at Nsambya play grounds instead of scheduled Nakivubo Blue Primary School play ground.
Three teams gain promotion from the FUFA Big league to play in the Super Division. The top two teams in the Elgon and Rwenzori groups qualify directly to play in the FUFA Super League while the second and third placed in either groups engage in the play-offs to seal the third slot.
