Kawempe based Big league side, Bright Stars and Eastern giants, Soroti Garage climaxed the year 2012 top of the Rwenzori and Elgon FUFA big league groups on a high note.
Bright stars who were held to a 2 all draw at Iganga Ssaza grounds in their last fixture of the year top the Rwenzori group with 20 points off 9 games while Soroti Garage, a former Super Division Outfit, who lost by a 2 nil margin in Jinja to the home Jinja Municipal side top the 9 team log with 17 points after 8 games.
The top two teams in either groups directly qualify to play in the super division while the best two performers from each of the two groups are engaged in a playoff to determine the third team to play in Uganda’s elite football league.
