Undefeated featherweight Ismail ‘Sharp Shooter’ Muwendo was too good for Kenyan opponent Anthony Napunyi over the weekend when he retained his US Mid American featherweight title with a unanimous decision at the Hyatt in Minneapolis. Muwendo dominated his East African opponent as he kept his belt while making his first defense and also remaining undefeated to move too 12-0 and 9 KOs in this eight round bout. The Minnesota based prize fighter had problems landing his big shots against a very crafty and defensive opponent who kept his guard very high. Muwendo is seeking for a major world title this year as he rises up in his division. He was won four of his last six fights by way of knockout. He is managed and coached by American trainer Scott Tolzmann and is in the same stable with other Ugandan fighters like Mohammed Kayongo,Philip Adyak and Waswa Hassan.
