Former Chelsea star Didier Drogba has fully recovered from a minor injury and will lead last year’s runners up Ivory Coast at the 2013 Nations Cup in South Africa.
Coach Sabri Lamouchi also named Manchester City midfield gem Yaya Toure in the squad after he fully recovered from flue that saw him hospitalised for 24 hours.
Following the duo’s recovery, the Tunisia-born French Coach made no changes to the initial squad that started training on 6th January in Abu Dhabi.
Côte d’Ivoire will oppose the Pharaohs of Egypt on 14 January in Abu Dhabi for a warm-up match, before flying to South Africa two days later.
Drogba and company are placed in the group of death D alongside Togo, Tunisia and Algeria
