Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) Coach Claude Le Roy has named former national team skipper Lomana Lua Lua in his final 23 man squad for the Nations Cup tournament in South Africa.

The captain’s armband will however still be with TP Mazembe star Tresor Mputu

The final 23-man list, released just before Wednesday’s deadline for the submission of squads also features Westbromwich Albion midfielder Yusuf Mulumbu and Uncapped Gabriel Zakuani of English Championship strugglers Peterborough United was included in the Democratic Republic of Congo’s squad for the African Nations Cup on Wednesday.

Congo play in Group B at the tournament in South Africa, starting with a match against Ghana in Port Elizabeth on January 20.
