Uganda Cranes international striker Emmanuel Okwi has sealed a move to Tunisian club Etoile Sportive Du Sahel from Tanzanian giants Simba SC for a fee believed to be $ 300,000.

This was confirmed to Kawowo Sports by Simba SC Head of recruitment Hans Poppe who said that the club will be looking at replacing the striker soon.

“Usually we do create attention and fruits are selling players at a good price, like Patrick Ochan to TP Mazembe (DR Congo), so we do not hurry back in the register, in order to obtain sharp as or more than Okwi,” said Poppe . Okwi joined Simba SC in 2010 from SC Villa for $ 40,000.

After completing his initial contract in December last year added a two-year contract with Simba SC which before he began to serve, he has moved to the Sahel.

He took to his personal facebook profile to show his excitement by posting that ” Oh God I thank U for making me reach this far in Life for without U I wouldn’t be where I am today.”

Okwi thanked Simba fans and officials for the time he has spent at the club.  “Am officially a player of Etoile Sportive Du Sahel, it’s really a new challenge and a big step for me in my career.. Let me take this chance to thank all Simba fans and officials for the support you gave me.. U were really special to me, god bless u all.. Alluta continua”, he wrote.

Okwi joins one of the biggest clubs on the continent that has won every competition recognized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
