The six-day Entebbe Youth Football camp held at Katabi play ground ended over the weekend with several matches lined up and strongly cheered by Entebbe residents.
In the Finals’ most exciting game of the day, Mengo based Sparta 09 academy, claimed the Under 15 boy’s trophy after over-coming Future Stars Soccer  academy of Abaita-Ababiri.

Sparta came from two goals down to beat Future Stars 3-2, thanks to Bronson Sserumira;s hattrick.
Ivan Tamale put Future ahead with a long range strike that sent Sparta goalkeeper the wrong way just  five minutes into the highly charged game before Ismail Kiwendo added the other three minutes later.

Before the end of the first half, Brunson Sserumira capitalized on one of the Future Stars’ defensive errors and dribbled the ball passed them and drilled a hard shot past  the helpless custodian a one Steven Musoke for a 2-1 lead. Sserumira completed his hat trick in the second half as his late goal came 2 minutes to stoppage time.

In the girls’ Under 17 category, Samlie Kisaakye first half strike was enough to give Ajax a win over Entebbe Creamland School.

In the final’s games of the soccer camp that attracted over 32 academies from allover Uganda, AC Jovens beat Lake Victoria Youth Soccer Academy (LVYSA) 3-2 to clinch the Under 13 boy’s trophy.
