SCVU and Sam Ssimbwa have officially parted ways. Ssimbwa as well as his entire coaching staff that includes Steve Bogere and Abdul Kigenyi will no longer be part of the club. We had earlier reported that the former Sofapaka, Express FC and Mbale Heroes Coach had his contracted terminated at the University Club for unknown reasons. Ssimbwa joined SCVU last August as the first team coach under Ivan Zoric as manager then and he guided the club to third place at the end of  the first round of the 2012/13 season.

Zoric has since left the club that he guided to the super league from big league. “They have all contributed towards where we are now,” club chairman, Simo Dubajic told the club website. “Third place is a respectable position for a new club like us and I am grateful for their efforts and work. This is an amicable parting. Entirely a business decision but also tactical. Certain changes had to be done at with the club. The attitude in the club has to be brought back”, Simo added “The club would like to thank Sam Ssimbwa, Bogere and Kigenyi for their services, and wish him well for the future”, he concluded.

Meanwhile, the club has confirmed sacked URA FC Coach Alex Isabirye as Ssimbwa’s replacement at the helm of the club. Isabirye will work with former KCC FC midfielder Morley Byekwaso and goal keeping coach Mses Oloya as his technical staff. “I am expecting that when we win we do it as a team and when lose a game, we lose with pride and not by just giving away games. That is what I want in the team. Technically, I am expecting a more consolidated tactical game plus hard work. He has good record as a young coach in this country and has all the characteristics we were looking for to get us where we want to be”, said club chairman Simo Dubajic.  â€śAlex chose his staff and I will give him full support”, he confirmed.
