20 Ugandan Coaches are currently undergoing a week’s coaching course. The course is being spearheaded by a top Real Madrid coaching expert who jetted into the country a few days ago. The training, which is streamlined to give the Ugandan tacticians the basics of coaching skills is being conducted at Sharing Youth Centre, Nsambya.
FUFA Publicist, Rogers Mulindwa anticipates the course will help to develop the game of football in the country. “With more coaches getting the basic skills, it is evident, our nation is destined for ever greater developmental trends”, Mulindwa says. Mulindwa also adds that this training will specifically adhere to the Ten Point Madrid Philosophy with a follow up advanced course in April 2013.
Among the participants are former football players like Joseph Mutyaba, Ibrahim Kirya, Onyango Robert, Ronald Apangu and a host of many others. Joseph Mutyaba reasons that this course will be a stepping stone for him to acquire more coaching papers in the nearby future. “This training is the starting point for me to embark on more advanced coaching courses in the future”, Mutyaba, a former Uganda Cranes midfield maestro projects.
Spanish football giants, Real Madrid, under the Real Madrid Foundation in partnership with the Spanish White Fathers and Nsambya are bankrolling the course.
