Former Express star, Israel Emuge was named man of the match after the defender’s massive play for his new Kenyan team, Gor Mahia fc in their  semifinal game of the Charity Cup against Mathare United played on Saturday 2nd February 2013 at Moi Sports Centre Kasarani Stadium. Gor Mahia beat Mathare Utd 2-0.

The Ugandan ambassador was brilliant throughout the match as he kept off the Mathare strikers and made crucial saves which saw his side through the finals where they dated Sofapaka. Finals of this inaugural tournament were played at the day’s evening.

According Israel Emuge, the game was not an easy one and the Ugandan is very proud to play for Gor Fc. “The debut into Kenyan football was a bit tough for me but playing for a big club like Gor Mahia really made me proud of myself” Emuge told Futaa.com

His efforts were rewarded with a DStv walker and mobile television. Emuge at Gor Mahia football club joined Daniel Sserunkuuma who was re-called by Uganda for an International friendly game against the Amavubi stars of Rwanda to be held in Amahoro stadium on 6th this Month.
