Rwanda 2-2 Uganda
Goals from Said Kyeyune and Daniel ‘Mzee’ Sserunkuma could only help Uganda Cranes to a 2-2 draw against Amavubi of Rwanda in a friendly match played at Amahoro stadium, Kigali.
The Cranes took a lead in the 29th minute through URA FC midfielder Said Kyeyune after a well laid byline pass from Daniel Sserunkuma. The Amavubi however restored parity in the 44th minute via Meddie Kagere whose shot beat custodian Abbey Dhaira into the top corner.
The Cranes retook the lead in the 68th minute through Daniel Sserunkuma who converted from the spot after Tony Odur who had come on for Brian Umony was fouled in the forbidden area after he tried to meet a brilliant cross from Daniel Sserunkuma.
The Gor Mahia FC striker calmly sent Rwanda goalkeeper the wrong way.
With seven minutes left, Eric Nsabimana levelled matters for the hosts to make it 2-2. The two teams held on to the result till the final whistle.
