The second edition of the annual National Post Primary School’s Beach soccer championship begins on March 1-3 at Lido beach in Entebbe.

“We set Friday 22nd of this month as the closing date for schools to register a-week before the event starts”. The Uganda Beach Soccer Association head of Competitions committee, Ali Mwebe, told Kawowo sports.

“This will give the Competitions Committee enough time to decide on which formats of play will govern the tournament basing on the number of registered teams”.

The competition is organized by Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA) in conjunction with the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA)

Last year’s first edition of this tournament was won by Wampeewo Ntake A after beating Wampeewo Ntake B 9-3  in the finals also played at Lido Beach sands in Entebbe.

Wampeewo Ntake A stamped authority in that edition as the Top scorer (Eddie Kiwanuka ) and Best Goalkeeper (Kliwana Najjeb) came from their side.

Secondary Schools are the only institutions allowed to register and participate in this tourney.
