After Sunday’s seven wicket defeat over Botswana, there wasn’t that much quite a healing from Nigeria’s poor spell of results at the ongoing Pepsi ICC Africa T20 Division One Qualifiers.

They were at it yet again as they lost to 65 and 88 runs to Tanzania and Kenya at the University oval in Kyambogo on Monday.

That makes a 1-3 for the West Africans after the first round.

Clive Ogbimi’s boys start the second round of this round robin tournament against Uganda  at the University Oval in Kyambogo and he has already promised revenge.

“We shall put up a stronger challenge against them,” he said.

When the two first faced off, Nigeria set 86-8, a score Uganda managed to chased for just three wickets.

“Our batsmen committed mistakes and Uganda capitalised on that chance. But this time round, we shall be much more resilient.” he added.

“We did well in the first game and we hope for a better performance again.” Arthur Kyobe, a Ugandan opener said.

Uganda still hold the 100% record in this tournament having beaten all the four sides in the tourney’s first round including a late surge against Botswana.

At Lugogo, team Kenya, who have won three of their four games, face off with neighbours Tanzania.
