Defending champion and seed four Moses Otiti, was bundled out of the Best of the Best tennis championships yesterday by Henry Muyanja in the quarter-finals at the Center Court Sports Club,Lugogo.
Muyanja costed to a 6-3,6-0,6-4 win over last year’s winner enroute to registering the first major upset in this 10 million shilling sponsored tournament.
However while he stole the spotlight on a blistering day on the courts at Lugogo top seed David Oringa kept his tempo with a comfortable 6-2,6-2,6-1 win over Carey Kalungi to advance to the semi-finals of tomorrow’s action.
Seed two Duncan Mugabe, overcame a stubborn Edward Odochen 6-2,6-4,6-2 to book his ticket with a game against Henry Muyanja.
