Former table tennis star Julius Omoding rekindled his past when he beat Timothy Kayondo 2-0 to capture the men’s crown at the MTN Chairman’s cup that is running at Kampala club.

Omoding, was a prominent star during the late 90’s dominating table tennis with the likes of Andrew Gitta and the rest.

In the ladies badminton Anne Abeja Muhwezi will be battling Liz Mugabi, to determine who takes the crown. MTN has sunk almost 62 million shillings in this annual event that has nine disciplines being contested by several members of Kampala club.

This year the event has a corporate competition that is being contested by several leading corporate companies.

In the pool event Anne Abeja Muhwezi will play Barbara Jjagwe while Lydia Tusingwire will take on Rosette Kebba in the ladies semi-final.

The men’s squash will see Simon Kajubu taking on Coutts Muhenda in the semi-finals while in the plate Mathias Nyombi will take on Robert Isabalijja. The women’s contest will be between Edith Wamalwa and Kathy Kabenge.
