The 12th edition of the Stanbic Bank/International School of Uganda family run this year is targeting to raise close to 100 million on April 28 when it tips off at Lubowa, off Entebbe road.
“We are looking at raising close to 100 million and that depends on how many corporate companies and individuals take part in this year’s run,” Hannah White, the race coordinator said at the launch of the run this morning at Golf Course Hotel. “Last year we raised 50 million shillings together with our different partners and for this year we hope that figure could go up.”
This year’s edition that has a 5 kilometer and 10 kilometer race with funds raised from both the corporate and individuals sponsors will in addition to supporting the usual “Go Green”cause go to the following beneficiaries;ISU Scholarship Funds and the Uganda Society for the protection of Animals, Rehab Uganda and Maini Muni Breast cancer foundation.

In the year 2012 funds raised to the equivalent of 50 million Uganda shillings was donated to the following Nyaka Aids School,Food steps found inside Kampiringisa Children’s remand home, Break-dance Project Uganda and the ISU Scholarship Fund.
In addition to Stanbic Bank who are the main sponsors this year’s other sponsors include: MTN Uganda Gold,Roko Construction(Silver),Lake Victoria Serena and AON Insurance, Roofings Limited who are Bronze sponsor.
Uganda’s top athletes like Dorcus Inzikuru, who has been a past winner and several others are expected to grace the event.
