Not many would have given Nile Cricket Club the benefit of doubt that they could go this far unbeaten in the National T20 League.

From all their seven games, they have collected 35 points at the top of Group B and are already through the last eight.

They only hope they can keep the winning run when they play Africa Cricket Club (ACC) at the university oval in Kyambogo this afternoon.

“So far so good and we are not looking any further other than victory,” skipper Martin Ondeko told Kawowo Sports.

Nile are not that lucky anyway. Off the oval, they have struggled to meet and train together but have worked all ways and conjured up the necessary results.

“Its all about sheer hardwork, team work and endurance,” Nile bowler Brian Masaba, also a national team seamer said.

ACC are now seventh with 10 points from six games and will be out to nurse their five-wicket loss to Jinja SS last Saturday. Nile were out of action last weekend.

“The two-week break will be an added advantage to our team.” Ondeko, who is so far Nile’s best batsman with 195 runs in six innings, added.

At Jinja oval, bottom side JACC can earn their first season points they beat SKLPS (5). The latter face Jinja SSS (15) in the afternoon.
