Fast improving Ggaba based Kampala University (KU) is steadily becoming a sports powerhouse with in the Country and all attention will be on them today when they face off Kampala International University (KIU) at St Peters grounds Nsambya.
There is no better time for KIU to beat KU for the first time in a competitive game than in Thursday’s University League showdown in Nsambya.
The Kasanga based side takes on the first runners up of the East African games just needing a win to start off their campaign on a bright side and keep hopes of progressing with-in the league.
In the last league encounter KIU was thrashed by MUBS by 5 goals while KU managed to beat MUBS in the penalties in the East African University games final in Dare- salaam to emerge kings of football in East Africa University games. Therefore KIU know how complicated the game may be for them as their aim is to win this match as its key to them.
Man to watch: KIU’s Stephen Mukama Magulumali as he was prolific for KIU in last concluded edition.
