In the University derby Kampala University emerged victors over Kampala International University.
Mutyaba Muzamiru gave some much-needed respite by scoring the winner in a 1-0 victory over Kampala International University on Thursday, provisionally moving the team into second place in the University League.
For Kampala University fans couldn’t hide away their happiness for being participants in the league as they morale boosted the team with drums and vuvuzelas which made the atmosphere cheerful. Speaking to Mr. Ronald Kamoga the administrator of KU he is more than sure that KU will merge champions of this league and it’s like a replica of what happened in Dare slam where they emerged victors of the football tourney says Ronald.
“The players gave 100% but as the team we had expected a draw game but we a glad that we got all the three points.” Muzamiru Mutyaba team captain KU said.
In a long run we hope to win the League but still fearful of Nkumba and Makerere University as we didn’t have a chance to play them in Dare slam added Mutyaba.
But on the evening KIU were denied two opportunities with the cross bar and the defender clearance off his line but Kyobe has hope in his time as it will deliver in a long run.
