Jinja MC VS Kasese youth (Kasese Youth did not turn up and loses 6 points) CRO Football club dreams of bouncing back in the FUFA super league (FSL) next season are getting close each and every the other day.

The Mbale district based club that have a game in hand, humiliated Ngora Freda Carr fc 5-1 in the FUFA Big league and need 16 points from its remaining 4 games of the season to earn directed promotion to the top league.

Cro has played 14 games, won 8, drawn 4 and lost only 4 games of the Elgn group. Soroti Garage fc who are in the second position of this Elgon Group, prays for at least a draw for CRO in the remaining 4matches and they (Soroti Garage) beat theirs too if they are to end top of the former table leaders.

Hoima Busia fc, Rwenshama fc, and Kasese Youth fc that have 12, 11 and 8 points respectively are battling at the bottom of the log as no one wants to fall in FUFA’s trap of relegating the bottomed 2 teams at the end of the race.

In the Rwenzori group, Bright Stars fc who recently appealed to FUFA disciplinary committee for a simple punishment to their banned players, are few steps away ahead of playing in the FSL next season.

The Kawempe based team that waits FUFA’s response on Monday, leads the group with 34 points and Soana fc follows with 31 points from 16 games so far played.

Bright Stars are searching for 4 points from their 2 remaining games to take the group’s title while Soana’s prayers are; to beat their 2 remaining matches as Bright stars at least gets a draw in any of the two dates.

Competition in the relegation zone of the table is high and the battle shows that 4 teams haven’t yet survived FUFA’s big pang which will cut the last two. Baza Holdings fc has 15points; Mvara Boys fc (12), Iganga MC fc (10) and Utoda fc (6) who are 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th positioned respectively haven’t survived the relegation.

The winner of each group gets direct promotion to the top league while as the 1st and 2nd runners up (from both groups) go for play offs to determine the 3rd team to be promoted to the FSL.

The last two clubs of the duo groups are relegated who are replaced by the 4 winners of the four national Regional leagues.
