The encounters between Makerere University vs. Prison Spears and Ever Green vs. Prison Arrows were postponed given that these teams have some of their players part of the National U20 handball team that departed for Djibouti to take part in the IHF Challenge tournament.
Meanwhile the National U20 Handball Team arrived safely in Djibouti. They were pooled in the Group A dubbed the group of death along side Senegal, Nigeria, and hosts Djibouti. On a bright note, the team won its opening fixture 35-32 over the hosts in a Sunday fixture played in very hot temperatures. Uganda plays Nigeria on Monday before facing Senegal on Tuesday.
