Uganda’s u-20 Handball team at the ongoing African Challenge cup in Djibouti suffered a serious set back when they lost to west African opposition, Senegal by 40-19.

This was Uganda’s second game of the campaign having won their opening fixture against the hosts, Djibouti, 35-32.

Against Senegal, Uganda lost key player Felix Mukunzi to a sending off in the second quater of the game after rough play, but the team held their nerves to play like angry lions.

Uganda is now battling for a semi final slot with another West African team, Nigeria in a do or die decider on Tuesday afternoon.

“We have seen Nigeria play, we hope to capitalize on their weak lines to get a positive result”, Uganda’s head of delegation, Wiiliam Mayanja tells Kawowo sports in a telephone interview.
