Handicap 28 golfer Ann Kiconco closed the gap in the hotly contested Orange/Castle Lite Mug for the month of April at the par 72 Entebbe golf club on the weekend after finishing runner up with a score of 76 nett. 

Her win gave her 60 points with an overall tally of 200 with leader Irene Nakalembe leading the race for the overall crown at 240 points.

Jayne Thomas playing off handicap 32 was the ladies overall winner with a score of 76 nett in a tournament that attracted 62 golfers from Entebbe and Kampala.

In the men’s category Neville Sonner playing of handicap 24 was the overall winner registering a perfect score of 68 nett while winner of the City Tyres Mehta Open Peter Sendawula kept his rich reign of form by claiming the men’s group A with 72 nett. 

Other winners on a dry and sunny course where Denis Kahindi playing off handicap 17 with 71 nett, who claimed group B while Hannington Mpiima was the winner of group C with a similar scoreline.

The guest winner was Johan Ziestman with 67 nett.
