Nsangi Sub County and Kira Town Council were impressive on day two of the Wakiso Sub Counties and town Council Sports tourney. The two teams have now won their opening two football fixtures and thus booked a berth to the event quarterfinals slated for Saturday.
Home side, Nsangi registered a 2-0 victory over Masuliita with Wilson Katende and Peter Muyonga strikes at Nsangi headquaters play ground. Kira also recorded an identical scoreline courtesy of Umaru Mbowa and an own goal from a Sissa defender.
In other football results, Nansana beat Katabi 3-2 at Hana Mixed. David Kibirige scored a brace for Nansana before Peter Muyonga sealed Katabi’s fate. Katabi’s Hassan Ali registered a double on the evening.
In the netball games played, Ali Chrisom had a brilliant day at office as netted 66 times for her team Nsangi in the 72-2 humiliation of Entebbe Division B side. Katabi walloped Entebbe B 2-7 in some of the other net ball fixtures played.
Action resumes Friday and will climax on Sunday.
