Top squash player Michael Kawooya, has busy two month schedule that will see him play in South Africa this month then fly to Saint Petersburg, in Russia next month as he seeks to gain more exposure.

Kawooya will start his journey when he takes part in the Autoquip Grand Prix tournament in Johannesburg, South Africa from May 24-26 at the Parkview Squash Centre. 

“It feels great to return to South Africa and I hope to do better this time around,” Kawooya stressed. “I am looking forward to improving my game and also get the exposure.”

He will be accompanied by Raymond Banyanga. Kawooya has also landed an invitation to take part in the White Nights Open international squash tournament in the City of Saint Petersburg, in Russia from June 28-30.

The tournament is expected to attract international top squash players from around the globe and has been sponsored by the local squash governing body Uganda Squash Rackets Association.

All the foreign players will be housed ta the Sokos Hotel Olympia garden and will play all their games at the Sports Center.
