Former Cranes Coach Mike Mutebi has backed new Cranes Coach Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic for success saying that he knows the psychology of Ugandan players.

“He knows the psychology of Ugandan players given time he spent at SC Villa”, Mutebi told Kawowo Sports in an exclusive interview.

“That can help him succeed since he knows the people he is going to deal with”, he added.

The SC Villa coach also pointed out Micho’s knowledge of the African game given the time he has spent on the continent.

“He has vast knowledge about African football too”.

The Serbian has spent close to 14 years coaching football in Africa with stints in Uganda at SC Villa (2001-2004), double stints with Ethiopia’s St. George (2004-2006 & 2007-2010), Orlando Pirates in South Africa (2006), Young Africans in Tanzania (2007), Al Hilal in Sudan (2010-2011) and Rwanda national team coach (2011-2013).

On the assistants Sam Timbe and Kefa Kisala that Micho will work with, Mutebi had no comment but just shared a thought that he wishes its Micho who made the choice.

“I just hope he chose his back room staff”, Mutebi concluded.
