Maroons Aqua Rowing Club Head coach, Rodrick Muhumuza  has left for Johannesburg South Africa where he is going to attend a high level coaching course for rowing coaches level 2. Muhumuza is also an executive member occupying the publicity secretary seat on the new rowing national executive committee.

“I am happy for this opportunity, but let me pray all goes well for the development of the sport in the country,” said Muhumuza, who last weekend attended an International Rowing and Canoeing Ruiru Rowing event where Douglas Kisarale won Gold at the Mugutha Dam arena, Nairobi.

His official home club Maroons Aqua was positive about the development.

“We wish him success. Special thanks too to Our club Director, Kakule Mayanja, Manager, Nnussu Winston, Batenga Nakisozi, Lubowa Judith Clair and all others for making it possible for him to travel”, read a statement from the Luzira based Club

He will also have a chance to watch the South African National trials where the best will be selected to the National rowing team.
