Boys

Final (Tuesday, 14th April):

  • St Mary’s Kitende Vs Kyaddondo SS (3:00 PM)

Third-place:

  • Aidan College Ndejje Vs Buddo SS (10:30 AM)

Girls:

  • Final: Rines Vs St Noa Girls (12 PM)
  • Third place: Boston High Mpala Vs Light High Sseguku (9:00 AM)

National record winners St Mary’s Kitende will lock-horns against Kyaddondo S.S in this year’s final to determine the champion of the 2026 Wakiso region football (boys).

This followed the successful completion of the second-finals played at the Champions’ stadium in Mwererwe on Sunday, 12th April.

St Mary’s Kitende overcame Aiden College Ndejje 3-0 with Jordan Tugume’s brace and Denis Kisiriko’s other goal.

Kyaddondo SS eliminated Buddo SS 4-2 in post match penalties after a goal-less affair in normal time.

Fresh from the CAF schools’ championship with team Uganda, Bashir Edema was among the penalty scorers for Kyaddondo SS.

The other three were Danstan Wasswa, Rafael Masuudi and Thomas Ogema whilst Joseph Kakooza missed his kick.

For Buddo S.S, only Abdul Shakur Babi and Ronald Ssegirinya managed to score.

Zangi Okello and Ibrahim Wayita were denied by Kyaddondo goalkeeper Ashiraf Lukyamuzi.

Before the final for the boys, there will be a third-place match between Aidan College Ndejje and Buddo SS.

Wakiso region’s six schools to carry the flag to the nationals in Lira include St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School – Kitende, Kyadondo SS, Buddo SS, Aiden College Ndejje, Greenlight Islamic Secondary School – Nansana, and Madina Islamic.

Girls football:

St Noa Girls Zana takes on Rines S.S in the explosive girls’ final. The early kick off for the bronze medal match has Boston High and Light High School Sseguku.

Gates at the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium open as early as 8 AM.
