Norman Blick punished the Ndejje University Angels inside and out and paced Dmark Power to a 76-67 win on Sunday night at YMCA. The forward went 2-for3 on 3-pointers and finished with game high 19 points. Joseph Ikong and Isaac Afidra had 13 points and 8 rebounds each.

Power (5-0) took the opening quarter 21-14 and the next 22-13. Ndejje were in striking distance going into the second quarter but Power’s 10-2 run at the start of the period opened up a double digit lead and closed out the half at 43-29 and the lead went up to 20 in the third quarter. Angels (2-2) chipped away in the fourth quarter and came within nine points (74-65) with 1:38 and a pair of throws from Geoffrey Soro ( 12 points, 8 rebounds) with 16 seconds to the final horn cut Power’s lead to 7 and was the closest they came as Norman closed the scoring on the night with two throws a second to the buzzer.

Brian Odur scored team high 17 points for Ndejje. Jonah Otim fouled out with 13 seconds to end the third quarter but had already contributed 14 points. Stephen Okias played his first game for the university side since joining the team from Warriors. He (Okias) looked out of sync and made no contribution on the score board from 5 field goal attempts.

Meanwhile, Eagles continue to search for a miracle as they suffered their fifth straight loss of the season, in the hands of Falcons. Five falcons logged double figures led by Abdulahi Ramadhan with 19 points (game high), Steven Omony had 17 points, Peter Nyoroto and Moses Okwera contributed 11 each and Philip Ameny chipped in with 10 points to go with 15 rebounds. Guard, Geoffrey Omondi (injury) and Forward, Peter Elungat (injury) missed the game. Miracle were led by Ian Mago with 8 points and Frank Karoro added 6 points.

Kami Kabange scored 13 points and 8 rebounds to pace City Oilers to a 65-44 win over Vegetarians. Jimmy Enabu added 12 points and Andrew Okello had 5 points and 14 rebounds for Oilers (4-1). Vegetarians (0-5) were led by Bernard Okumu with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Vinne Jurua added 11 points and Grace Adra had 10.
