Handicap 15 golfer Elly Mukasa, buried 150 golfers over the weekend as he claimed the second edition of the tricky Kobil Captain’s Putter at the par 71 Entebbe golf club.

Mukasa completed his game with a solid 20th hole on the green to sum up a great performance and claimed the overall prize.

On day that had several golfers collapsing on the hole 17, which was a graveyard for most golfers who where using the Tombstone format.

The oldest golf club in Uganda, has several times used this mode of play that has seen most players collapsing on the first hole according to the allotment of strokes that are played by the golfer.

Handicap four player Robert Oluba was group A winner with a tee shot on the 20th hole. Davies Kato was group B winner as he holed out on the 19th hole.

Group C was claimed by Kokoro Janda who holed out on hole 18. University student Anne Ngabo was the ladies overall winner when her with a third shot on the 19th hole.

Left hander Gloria Mbaguta was group A winner with a tee shot on the 19th hole. The one day tournament that is a major event on the Entebbe Golf Club calendar and is hosted by the club’s captain attracted golfers from Jinja, Kampala, Mbarara, Tororo, Fort Portal,Kabale, Kasese and the hosts Entebbe. Kobil Uganda sunk 80 million into the tournament.

Entebbe’s Anne Kiconco was group B winner with a second shot on the 19th hole.
