22nd and 23rd June, this weekend, have been scheduled for yet another breathtaking edition of the National Volleyball Junior Championships that will take place at Kawanda Secondary School.

Stiff competition is expected from many schools, not forgetting formidable St.Mary’s Kitende who are the secondary school defending champions.

According to the Uganda Volleyball Federation, events shall commence at 8.00AM with each participating team expected to contribute sh.800,000 as nominal fee as well as catering for their welfare.

“This is the 5th edition and we are expecting teams in seniors under 21 years, boys and girls; under 15 years, girls and boys,” said the Coordinator of this championship, Edgar Karungi.

Through the Volleyball at school commission, this championship will be used to develop and expose young talented players who will in future add value to the national team.
